Zaragoza, Capital Mundial de la Garnacha

 

The II Garnacha Fair, held in Zaragoza, World Capital of Garnacha, has once again demonstrated the growing passion for discovering, enjoying, and celebrating the exceptional #GarnachaWines of Aragón🍇🍷 in Spain.

Over the course of the event, visitors from Zaragoza, across Spain, and from around the world came together to experience Garnacha in all its expressions, tasting outstanding wines, meeting producers, and enjoying a vibrant programme of  wine tastings, live music and entertainment.

The success of this second edition, held in June 2026, is reflected not only in the attendance figures, but also in the fantastic feedback received throughout four intensive days of professional and casual wine tastings. Our dedicated tasting area welcomed wine professionals and enthusiasts alike, showcasing Protected Designations of Origin Cariñena, Calatayud, Campo de Borja, Somontano (D.O.s) and more areas, wineries, wines, innovative projects, and initiatives that promote the culture and heritage of wine. Every tasting session was at full capacity and waiting lists!!

Set in a welcoming, tree-lined venue with a relaxed atmosphere, great company, and exceptional wines, the fair once again proved to be a unique meeting point for the Garnacha community.

A heartfelt thank you to all the visitors, wineries, producers, partners, and collaborators who made this event possible. Together, we continue to position Zaragoza and Aragón as one of the world's great Garnacha destinations for winelovers.

Vino, música y estado de ánimo.

"ODDBINS LAUNCHES MOOD AND WINE MATCHING SITE" leo recientemente en "The Drinks Business" digital y me encanta la idea: Oddbins lanza una web para maridar estado de ánimo, música y vino.

Elegir una botella de vino y una música según te encuentres animicamente....está bien. Click "me gusta". Creo que todos lo hemos hecho en algún momento de nuestra existencia. Llegar a casa en pleno invierno y apetecerte tomar una copa de vino tinto a una temperatura acorde que te caldee el cuerpo y el espíritu. A mí me reconforta, me da calidez y si ya escucho una música envolvente, la sensación de serenidad y apaciguamiento es doble. Por el contrario, cuando llega el verano con este sol desenfrenado y loco solo me apetece tomar un vino blanco bien fresco para trata de compensar esos terribles calores ya que al ingerirlo fresquito siento un alivio que regula mi "termostato interior" y con la canción "Here comes de sun" (The Beatles") se te alegra el espíritu de verdad.

Cada vez son más, en España y en el extranjero, los que están organizando eventos de "vino y música" para acercar el vino a diferentes públicos y crear estados de ánimo placenteros, divertidos, amistosos y abiertos a todo  tipo de grupos. Hoy en día, el vino se elabora principalmente para disfrutarlo, no para almacenarlo durante años. No tienes nada más que teclear en tu buscador preferido las key words "musica y vino / music and wine" y verás qué sorpresa. Seguro que encuentras un evento que se adapta a tu gusto y a tu estado de ánimo!

Vino y Jamón Españoles / Spanish Ham and Wine

Recientemente en un viaje a Teruel (Aragón, España), volví a probar el perfecto maridaje entre el buen vino y el buen jamón. Y allí, en una tierra privilegiada para elaborar, curar y secar jamón recordé el gran placer que se siente al tomar un plato de Jamón de Teruel acompañado por una copa de buen Vino de Aragón.

Pocas cosas tan "sencillas" evocan alegría, felicidad, satisfacción instantánea y proporcionan un momento apacible para un tentempié, a la vez que aporta una buena alimentación.

Para mí, sigue siendo la combinación perfecta, el perfecto maridaje: jamón y vino, por supuesto españoles!!

Not long ago, while touring around Teruel (Aragón, Spain), I had again the fine pleasure of having ham and wine. And there, where the climate is hard and very cold, perfect for producing cured ham, I remembered the tasty feeling of  machting some Ham from Teruel together with a glass of good Wine from Aragon.

Such things, so "simple" can evoque hapiness, fast satisfaction and offer a beautiful and peaceful moment as you are having a healthy snack while eating good food.

For me, cured ham and wine keeps being the perfect macht, of course from Spain!!
